Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 June 2026
This policy explains how SimplyScale ("I", "me", "my") collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit this website or get in touch about my services. SimplyScale is a sole trader based in Swindon, Wiltshire. For the purposes of UK data protection law, I am the data controller for the information described below.
If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact me at contact@simplyscale.co.uk.
What information I collect
I only collect what I need to respond to you and run my services:
- Details you give me — such as your name, email address, phone number, business name and anything you tell me when you fill in the contact form, book a call, or email or call me.
- Usage data — if you accept analytics cookies, basic information about how you use the site (such as pages visited and device type), collected through Google Analytics.
How and why I use it
I use your information to:
- Respond to your enquiry and arrange or hold a growth call.
- Provide, manage and improve the services you ask for.
- Send you information relevant to a project we're discussing or working on.
- Understand how the site is used so I can improve it (only with your consent).
My lawful bases for processing under UK GDPR are: your consent (for analytics cookies and any marketing), taking steps at your request before entering a contract and performing a contract (to deliver services you've engaged me for), and my legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and running my business.
Who I share it with
I never sell your data. I share it only with trusted providers who help me run SimplyScale, and only as needed:
- GoHighLevel — my CRM and booking platform, used to manage enquiries, bookings and follow-ups.
- Google — for website analytics, where you've consented.
- My website host and email provider, to operate the site and communicate with you.
These providers act as my processors and may store data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place. I may also disclose information if required by law.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses only essential cookies by default. Analytics cookies are set only if you choose "Accept analytics" in the cookie banner, and you can decline with no loss of functionality. You can clear cookies at any time in your browser settings.
How long I keep your data
I keep enquiry and client data only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, and to meet legal or accounting obligations — typically up to six years for records relating to a contract, and less for enquiries that don't lead to work. After that it's securely deleted.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, ask for it to be deleted, restrict or object to its use, and request a copy in a portable format. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email contact@simplyscale.co.uk and I'll respond within one month.
How to complain
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, please contact me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted here with a revised "last updated" date.
